Our Tutors

A large team of highly qualified tutors has been assembled, with the aim of providing a varied and systematic grounding in all issues related to drug/alcohol problems.

Alcoholism is a multifactorial and heterogeneous disorder with biopsychosocial components. The interplay between genetic, environmental, and psychiatric factors cannot be overemphasized. With this in mind, our tutors include doctors, counsellors, and psychologists.

A particular emphasis is given to exploring the nature of resistance and methods of facilitating change. The formal teaching component includes the complete practitioner’s basic training course in Motivational Interviewing followed by reflective practice and the full use of reflective practice transforms through into supervision.

All students will be provided with a comprehensive support structure, including a personal tutor, as well as clinical and group supervision.
