Poole

Poole is a beautiful place to live. Its old town streets and beautiful harbour setting creates an idyllic tourist attraction location. Yet, with a thriving hospitality economy, the harms of alcohol and drugs are always looming.

Amongst its residents are some adults and young people who are affected by drugs and alcohol and, as such the Poole EDAS services respond to these needs and help support their local community by offering a professional and innovative service with the aim of working towards recovery and reintegration for the service user group.

At a local level, we set clear and unambiguous visions for the community of Poole to reduce demand of drug and alcohol use, support recovery and reduce criminal behaviour with the aim of providing a bigger and better society for Poole.

With this in mind, EDAS aims to raise the hopes and aspirations of the local community affected by substance misuse by offering treatment packages that are evidenced based and care coordinated with the purpose of a positive discharge from treatment as an independent member of the local community and bigger society. Our education packages also offer our service users the opportunity to not only experience a therapeutic experience within EDAS , but also to gain academic status allowing them to feel positive about their futures in terms of employment and reintegration.

All discussions are confidential and it is only in certain circumstances that any confidentiality may need to be broken to protect you from harm, but this will always be discussed with you first.
