COVID-19 Notice

June 2021 UPDATE

With the ongoing COVID-19 situation and as restrictions start to ease, we wanted to assure everyone that EDAS and SMART are still running and committed to providing the best service we can.

Our services are carrying on with some reduced face to face contact and some opening times changes throughout lockdown, with telephone support on offer to our clients. We will slowly start to get groups and sessions back to normal as restrictions are lifted.

We're still providing Needle Exchange and Smoking Cessation services from the SMART offices too. Our team will remain in contact to support you in your treatment journey.

We ask our clients to please not attend the offices unless they have an appointment or are using the Needle Exchange service.

NSP Changes and Opening Times

Due to the current COVID-19 outbreak and the need to reduce contact in the centre, a collection and return point for any injecting drug paraphernalia and equipment will be operating outside SMART with the following opening times:

MONDAY 9:30AM – 3:30PM

TUESDAY 9:30AM – 3:30PM (Including Outreach Needle Exchange run by EDAS at Skinner Street Church 1PM-2PM)

THURSDAY 10:30AM – 6:30PM (Late Evening Service)

FRIDAY 9:30AM – 3:30PM

Our Needle Syringe Provision team can provide you with one week’s worth of syringes and injecting equipment at a time. Contact us to order your pack in advance.

Changes to Counselling and Services

Due to social distancing guidelines in place, 1-1 sessions and group support sessions will continue to be reduced or taking place online or via phone as we gradually resume face to face contact in the centre.

Telephone and online support is available in place. There will be access to alternative support resources such as online services and Zoom groups.
